What Does Blister On The Feet Indicate?

HI. My daughter plays a lot of soccer and lacrosse. She has a fluid or air filled type bubble or sac on the outside of her foot. Wondering what it might be. She says it s not painful. I thought maybe a vessel popped or something like that, but not sure. Any ideas?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I understand your concern. Blisters form on pressure points, where the foot presses harder on the shoe, where the shoe is tighter or where is more friction. This leads to the outermost layer of the skin cells to detach from their base and form a blister.
Try not to pop the blister, keep the feet always clean and dry and wear other shoes for a while.
A moisturizer or talk powder on the area of the highest pressure can prevent them from forming.
I hope this answers your question.
Wishing you a good health.
