What Does Bilateral Minimal Pleural Effusion Mean?
My mother having breathing problem since 15 days.ct scan says bilateral minimal pleural effusion with sub pleural collapse of basal lung & segment on left side.Pericardial effusion up to 20 mm in thickness. She is also suffering from fever since 4 months.

I really appreciate your concern, underlying cause of effusion is matters the great it could be due to infection it may be due to malignancy and other, differential diagnosis, etiology are matter of concern hope this information helps.
