What Does Being Positive For Strep B Infection Suggest?
im an 18 year old female, last year , i tested positive for strep B infection, from a urine test, i had a white discharge, urinating was painfuland they gave me some antibiotic. i dont know if the strep went away, right now, my vulva is really very itchy and i also have a small cut there, it hurts and im scared, what should i do

It is genitourinary infection may be with same pathogen or other one. Totally curable if taken care and treated appropriately, not to be scared. Suggestions for you:
• Require physical examination with certain laboratory tests for evaluation of the cause of the condition and manage accordingly.
• Need IV/oral antibiotics, anti-inflammatory drugs.
• Calamine lotion application 3 times a day.
• Tylenol gives pain relief till you contact your doctor.
• Maintain hydration with plenty of liquids.
• Keep genitals clean with antiseptic liquids and dry.
• Wear loose, clean, and cotton clothes.
• Avoid all types of sexual activities at present till total recovery.
