What Does Area Of Linear Plate Atelectasis On Lung Base Mean?
xrays shows Early calcific atherosclerosis of the arch. In the right postermedial lung base an area of linear ateletasis considered. Comment: There is an area of linear plate atelectasis seen on the right porteromedial lung base. No obvious focal pulmonary lesions are considered.
There might be age related changes noted in right lung where the small air sacs are collapsed. This is called subsegmental plate like atelectasis. No lung nodules are noted. There is no serious problem in the X ray. There are atherosclerotic changes in the wall of aorta. This is due to little calcium deposition due to age. These findings are acceptable.
