What Does Abnormal P Or Q Waves Indicate In ECG?

I had a severe panic attack a few weeks ago which was caused by a bad reaction to a new anti-depressant drug that I had been prescribed (I only took the drug on one occasion and experienced a reaction the following morning). My doctor asked me to take an ECG test in her surgery and then sent me over to the hospital for another ECG. According to this reading, there were unspecific abnormalities with the P or Q waves (I'm not sure which exactly). While the hospital doctor assured me that there was no immediate cause for alarm, he advised me to book an appointment with a cardiologist. I am extremely concerned as I am a 47 year-old female, non-smoker and not overweight.

Hi, dear.
I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern. P wave in ecg suggest atrial depolerisation. It suhgedt contraction of atrium. Same Q wave is due to ventricular activities. Abnormality dose not suggest any major problems. It is non emergency conditions. So don't worry about that. Just be relaxed. Consult your cardiologist and take treatment accordingly.
Hope I have answered your question, if you have doubt then I will be happy to answer. Thanks for using health care magic. Wish you a very good health.
