What Does Abdominal Pain After Mirena Insertion Indicate?
hi I have had the mirena coil inserted for 2 years now after I have had heavy bleeding with clots for 7 years straight, I want to try for a baby with my boyfriend as I am 31 now, what my question is while on the mirena now for 2 years I have no periods but I have been having the cramps is that normal also how would I know that I am ovulating because of this also if I get the mirena removed how quick would the bleeding return and could I get pregnant on the day for removal
Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic. I can understand your concern. No, you won't be able to conceive immediately after removing Mirena coil. This kind of contraceptive measure is prone for uterine infections. So your abdominal cramps might be due to infection. So consult gynecologist and get done clinical examination to rule out infection. Once you remove the coil, it will take 1-2 months to regulate your hormones and hence you will get bleeding after 1-2 months. Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
