What Does A Swollen Lymph Node In The Groin Area Indicate?

I had a lymph node infection in my groin and took anti-biotics for it but the problem still exists several weeks later. It is very tender and sore to the touch. I had an ultra-sound done and told to take the meds. I have an apt with a urologist on Nov 7th. Is it possible I have cancer? What needs to be done to find out the problem?

Hello

If it is still painful then the swelling is likely to be due to an infection and may be a prolonged
course of antibiotics may be required. Please discuss this with your doctor.

Thanks
