What Does A Sclerotic Border On A Lesion On An X-ray Report Mean?
What does ” a sclerotic border” on a lesion mean. I was given an x ray after a fall from the ski lift and again on the floor. I was told that the bone alignment is adequate. The right and left hip joint spaced are well-maintained. There is marginal spurring. There is no evidence of boy erosion or chondrocalcinosis. There is no cortical irregularity or periosteal reaction. The sacroiliac joints are well maintained. There are mild degenerative changes in the lumbosacral area. There is a radiolucent lesion with sclerotic borders in the superior aspect of the neck of the left femur likely due to a fibrous defect. No blastic bony lesion seen. No blastic bony lesion is seen. The soft tissues are grossly unremarkable.
