General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,
Welcome to HCM.
The sore lump you are having on your eye lid is known as stye which is caused due to infection of hair follicle of eye lid followed by collection of pus.
You need not apply antibiotics presently as it is expected that it will resolve in 2-3 weeks time. You should continue with warm compresses (not cold) for 15-20 minutes 2-4 times a day. Do not try to drain by yourself.
If it still reoccur or does not resolve beyond 4 weeks then you should consult your Opthalmologist.
Hope this will be helpful.
Take care.
