General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

In most cases, itchy rashes are due to an allergic response or contact irritation at the area.

Other causes would be infection (fungal or viral , most commonly).

You can use an antihistamine tablet to see if this helps eg claritine, allegra, zyrtec, benadryl. The use of a topical mild steroid cream may also be helpful eg hydrocortisone.
If there is no improvement or there is any worsening ,then it would be best to be seen.

I hope this helps
