What Does A Red Rash On The Buttocks Indicate?

I have a red blistery rash that started on my left inside buttock that has downwards and is on my thigh and back of my knee. This is accompanied by a burning pain and itching in spots. I also have a burning pain sensation in my groin and vaginal area and other parts of my leg.

Hi Dear,

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of red rash on the buttocks which can occur due to many reasons like fungal infection, allergic reaction due to detergent, soap, bacterial infection of hair follicles and contact dermatitis.

Need not to worry. I would suggest you to take benadryl twice a day as of now and apply cold compresses and avoid any cosmetic product. Wear loose clothes and try cotton bottoms as it will avoid friction. I would suggest you to avoid touching or picking rash. Maintain complete hygiene. You should consult dermatologist for proper examination. Doctor may prescribe antihistamine , corticosteroid ointment and may give adrenaline short.
