What Does A Rash On The Breast Indicate?

86 year old female developed a large bruise on her right breast within a couple of hours, the bruise looked like it was old and had yellowish as though it was healing concentrated around the nipple area. No possibility of having hit herself, the only different thing from routine was a shot glass of chardonnay requested. She never drinks, her night meds are Trazadone, Simvastatin and one and a half Tylenol P.M.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

The large bruise on the patient breast could be due to the hit on that area although does not recall any trauma episode. Apply alternating warm and cold compresses. If persists, run ultrasound and further examination by oncologist.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
