What Does A Pregnant Cervix Feel Like?

I am trying to conceive and have been for about a year and a half. I was on birth control for about 4-5 years. I have been off birth control now for about 1 year and a half now. I still haven t gotten pregnant. Usually my periods are very irregular but for about 4 months now my periods have came around the same time. 13 days after my period I m quite sure I ovulated because I had clear sticky discharge and I woke up with pains in my left ovary and also took ovulation tests that were positive. I had sex the day before the day of an also the next two days to be sure. I am now 5 days past ovulation. My cervical mucus is creamy white, my boobs and nipples are slightly sore and I checked my cervix it feels low and firm. My question is I have read online that the cervix should be soft if pregnant? I m a little confused.

I understand your eagerness.
Let me appreciate the planning of having sex around ovulation. The half effort is done with your planning. Now if your partners semen is also normal, you have good chances of conception this time.
- At the time of ovulation & also after conception feel of the cervix gets softened-( compare the softness with tip of your nose) & it becomes shortens ( goes a little up in vagina).
- Still pregnancy test of blood or urine is the confirmatory test.
