What Does A Painful White Spot On The Leg Indicate?
Hi. My 4 year old son just came running into the house crying that his foot got hurt. He was wearing socks but no shoes. My daughter thought he either got stung or bitten by something. At first all I saw was a small white spot but then a zigzag line appeared. After applying ice I did feel a bump, too. Any ideas? He is calm now but that line worried me. THank you!

I am sorry for what your 4 year old son is going through.
He might have been bitten by an insect. Try to clean the site well and try to remove any sting inside (if any). Keep applying cold compresses.
Give OTC anti-histamine (e.g. Benadryl).
If in the following days, it will remain swollen, should consult further with dermatologist.
