What Does A Painful Lump On The Mons Pubis Indicate?

I have noticed a painful lump on my mons pubis about a month ago. thinking its a hair bump I applied some neosporin which seemed to help at first although it did not go away now it looks like a sore and very tender n pink(hurts really bad, & it is now a small filled bump). Now I am noticing another hard lump beginning to form it is tender in some parts. They both hurt like hell.

General & Family Physician 's  Response

Hi
Thank you for asking HCM
I have gone through your query. Your problem can be most likely due to folliculitis. Small abscess can form in this area also. Dong warm compress and applying povidone iodine (betadine) ointment will be helpful for this. You an also take vitamin C 200 mg daily. If there is no improvement then drainage of puss an antibiotics might be required.

Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks.
