What Does A Painful Lump In The Armpit Indicate?

Hello. I’m an 18 year old female. Today I just noticed a lump I have under my skin, it’s slightly painful when I touch it but not too bad. I’ve noticed it before a few months ago but I’m not sure if it just came back or if it has been here the whole time. It’s underneath the skin of my armpit area, I have to push on it to feel it. But it isn’t on the other armpit. I was just wondering if this is something normal, possibly irritated because of my deodorant? Thanks for your time.
