What Does A Painful Lump In A Breast Cancer Survivor’s Armpit Indicate?

Hi, i discovered a large lump about the size of a marble in my armpit today, accompanied by redness and pain. i had breast cancer in 2012 on that same side and called my oncologist. from the phone, she said that it was an infected hair follicle and prescribed an antibiotic. Is that what you would have done?

No. Axillary lymph node is most of the times pathological. Meaning it's significant and needs further investigations.
I understand the antibiotics to neck nodes where simple ulcer in mouth can lead to neck nodes but axilla it is not so.
And considering you had ca breast, please get fnac and scan done.
Hope this helps you.
