What Does A Painful Indentation On Left Tibia Indicate?

I m a healthy 29 year old female with a history of histiocytosis x as a child. I ve had an indention on my left tibia since I was a child and it has increasingly gotten bigger and is now painful at times. X-rays don t show any abnormalities. Any thoughts?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

It could be a harmless contracture or calcification.

Consult an orthopaedician and get evaluated.

An X-ray is required for further assessment.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
