What Does A Lump On Temple Indicate?

Lately when i take my hands & run them down the side of my face, on my right temple (right out from the corner of my right eye) its lumpier than the other side. My hand goes right down on the left side with no problem but on the right it goes over a squishy lump that is painless & numb to squeeze or pinch. Should i be worried? Its not a big visable lump but its very noticable to the touch

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and welcome.

Without physically examining the lump, I can only say that the lump could possibly be an abscess, a cyst or acne, it would be best not to squeez or touch the region. Wait for about 2-3 weeks and if it still present then you should visit a doctor who will choose to examine it and possibly incise and drain it.

Best wishes.
