General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello there. I have read through your question and I can understand your concern. A low lying placenta at this stage is not a cause of extreme concern. In most cases the placenta moves upwards as the pregnancy progresses and the baby grows. So it is very early to judge. In the later stages if the placenta is very low lying, you may be advised to avoid strenuous activities. Meanwhile you just have to watch out for any bleeding or spotting in which case you should immediately report it to your gynaecologist. I hope that answers your question. If you have any further questions please feel free to write.
