What Does A Bump On The Helix Of The Ear Indicate?

I have a bump on the root of my helix on ear, I thought that it was a pimple so I tried popping it, but can’t. It’s really painful when I mess with it, so I’ve stopped. However, it won’t go away...it looks like what pimples do, but maybe there’s liquid inside instead? No head there like pimples have, but seems to grow a bit, swelling if you will. What do I do? I’ve gotten headaches, always thirsty, and chills.
