What does a boil in the vagina indicate?

The right side of my labia major is swollen as if a boil is going to burst, feels like small pebble inside it. I have not lanced it and trying to get an appointment with my gyno doctor. This started in Sept. 2017 and she prescribed antibiotics and then it burst and went away. In Nov 2017 I underwent surgery right colectomy for colon cancer stage 2. I am trying to arrange appointment with oncologist also. Meanwhile, it there anything I can do at home to reduce the swelling and pain.

Hello,

Boil in the vagina may be due to infected Bartholin gland or infected hair follicles or infected cyst. Use tablet amoxiclav 625 twice a day for five days. If symptoms not improved, please consult your gynecologist she will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
