What Does A Blister Behind The Ear Indicate?

I have noticed a blood blister behind by ear. About a week ago I noticed a soft lump that look a bit darker than my fair skin tone then today I noticed its purple. Its not sore or uncomfortable but I can feel it. I do have an appointment next week with my family doctor but I am curious to know what this could be???

Hi,

As per your query you have symptoms of blister behind the ear which is probably due to abscess formation. An abscess develops when tissue or cells in an area of the body become infected.

I would suggest you consult ENT specialist once for proper examination and to rule out a condition like a lymphadenopathy. Swelling in lymph nodes is the result of an infection. The doctor may prescribe antibiotics (amoxicillin). For nor try to keep it dry and take Tylenol for pain and swelling.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
