What Does SGPT 136 And SGOT 96 In LFT Test For A Person Having Cholesterol Of 280 Mean ?
Dear Doctor , recently i undergone LFT test. It Indicates SGPT 136 and SGOT 96. I also undergone an abdomen scan. The result is normal liver functioning.My Cholestrol level is 280. For the last 15 years i am taking Liv 52 daily two tablet and also i used to take alcohol three pegs daily.My age is 42 yrs,Male no treatment have been taken so far

Hi,thanks for query.Your liver enzymes are elevated.Ultrasound may be normal as in case of minor injury the ultrasound can not pick up.Please avoid alcohol,your cholesterol is again also high.Please avoid foods with high content,any pain killer drugs.Please do not take any medicines for this many years without knowing its effects and side effects.You take advise from your doctor.bye.

Alcohol is showing its result .Liv-52 will not be able to overcome /match the harm done by alcohol.so first of all stop taking alcohol & start doing regular exercise,as it will damage your liver known by name alcoholic cirrhosis.Serum cholesterol is definitely in higher range & go for complete lipid profile & get it treated.
