hello doctor ,i am 34yrs old.i have got my ECG done.I want you to give me a detailed explanation regarding my report.here is my report.. name:Yasmin age:34 sex:female measurement results: QRS : 84 ms QT/QTC : 354 / 398 ms PR : 156 ms P : 96 ms RR/PP : 782 / 785 ms P/QRS/T : 48/ 65/ 44 Degrees Interpretation: Normal sinus rhythm, Left atrial enlargement , Borderline ECG ms.
Thank you for posting your query. I can understand your concern. Let me solve your queries one by one. Yes I will give you detailed information.
1. QRS interval - Normal 2. QTc - Normal 3. PR interval - Normal 4. P wave - Normal 5. RR interval - Normal Your Pulse rate is 76 beats/min (normal) 6. Axis - Normal 7. Sinus rhythm - normal rhythm we all have
8. Left atrial enlargement - If what your P wave duration of 96ms is true , I doubt if you at all have Left atrial enlargement. The human heart has 2 left sided and 2 right sided chambers called atrium and ventricle. The left atrium can enlarge due to valve defect.
I would suggest you to report to a clinician if you have symptoms of breathlessness, palpitations, chest pain . He will correlate clinically. An abnormal EKG requires other tests and clinical examination. It is just a tool of diagnosis.
Do not worry much. This is nothing very serious. Hope this helps. Have a nice day.
