What Does CT Scan Report Mean And Suggest Treatment?

I had a CT of my sinuses and this is what they found: Complete opacification of the right maxillary antrum. Small retention cyst or polyp in right sphenoid sinus.

Deviation nasal septum to the left.

Wondering what all this means and treatment wise

Hi,
Thanks for writing in.

Your X ray report shows the presence of mild inflammation in the air space on the side of the nose to the right. This is due to allergy or an infection. You may need to take treatment for nose allergy and protect yourself from extreme weather conditions.

There is a small fluid filled cyst in an area above the upper portion of the nose and this is insignificant.

The central bony structure in the nose is tilted to the left side. If you are having symptoms like regular nose infections then you may need to get a surgical correction done for deviated nasal septum.
