General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi, Welcome to Health care magic forum.
It is quite natural that they don't want to lave the house with family surroundings.
Consider him to be the 5 year old child, try to convince like a child. promise him another trip to home in near future, say some occasion like a birth day or some thing of that sort.
If he is not taking the medicines ask him to take, medicines and tell him that if takes medicine you allow him to stay at home. If he takes medicines he may obey you.
wishing him a comfortable life. Thank you.
