Hello,I got my sugar tested in March and found out that my sugar levels are high . I also got Hb1AC done in March where the value of 7.2 was recorded.I recently got my Hb1AC test done again along with Glucose Random test and values of 7.30 and 163.40 is reported.I am not taking any medicines so far. Can you please advise if I should start any medicines?I have already started exercising and eating a low calorie diet.I would also like to know if my diabetic condition be reversed if I continue with my exercises, eat a balanced diet and improve my lifestyle and I will no longer have to eat the medicines?

Hi Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern...
HbA1c refers to glycated haemoglobin. It develops when haemoglobin, a protein within red blood cells that carries oxygen throughout your body, joins with glucose in the blood, becoming 'glycated'.

By measuring glycated haemoglobin (HbA1c), clinicians are able to get an overall picture of what our average blood sugar levels have been over a period of 3-4 months. The normal range for the hemoglobin A1c test is between 4% and 5.6%. Hemoglobin A1c levels between 5.7% and 6.4% indicate increased risk of diabetes, and levels of 6.5% or higher indicate diabetes.
Your Hb1AC value is quite high means You are diabetic & your blood sugar level remained high for longer period of time
So you should visit your physician, he would prescribe you a medicine.
Don't worry you would be fine
Hoping your query is solved.
