What Do These CAT Scan And EGD Reports Mean?

Hello My Father has cirrhosis and liver cancer. A recent MRI and CT scan showed the presence of para esophageal and peri gastric varicose veins (on CT scan report) and large gastroesphogeal varices (on MRI report). Today he had an endoscopy and there were no esphogeal varices found so no banding or medication is required. Can you explain the difference between what was found on the CT scan and what was found with the EGD? Are the para esophageal and peri gastric veins at risk for hemorrhage? Thank you

I have read your query and here is my advise.

* The report is contradictory as that of MRI showing large
gastroesophageal varices and endoscopy is normal.

There can be various issues as

- missing of varices by performing endoscopist due to certain reasons
- reporting shot fall on MRI technician or radiologist side
- reporting of adjacent patient conveyed to you by fault
- actual decompression of varicose veins visible on MRI during
anesthesia given for endoscopy or else

Kindly provide me MRI plates for better co relation and further precise comments for this interesting point of consideration.
