What Do The Symptoms Of Swollen Lymph Nodes, Body Pain, Headaches And Sore Throat Indicate?

Dear Doctor,

6 weeks ago i went to Thailand where i had only oral sex (Insertive fellatio performed on me) for about 20 seconds, there was no visible sore, ulcer, cut in her mouth and my penis. i have read several articles that insertive fellatio is not yet documented and posses equal to zero risk for hiv transmission. However about 2 and half weeks of this incident i had mild sore throat for about a day followed by cough producing phlegm and running nose for about a week, also with some sinusitis like problem in last 3-4 days. The intensity of this infection was low and i didnt had fever, headache, body pain, swollen lymph nodes etc. I could go to office work and never felt fatigued except once. Although i m freaking out and scared. Pls help me.

Regards
KN

thank you for query.the symptoms are non specific and may or may not be related to HIV.Consult doctor for examination and treatment for same.if you have not come in contact with the blood or if you have no abrasions or wounds in the area of contact you need not bother at all.oral sex is does not transmit HIV unless there are ulcers or abrasions.Relax and do not worry.you can get a appropriate test done depending on time interval from exposure ,to allay fears of HIV.You can get back to me for any clarifications.to Dr Bharatesh Devendra Basti Dermatologist and Venereologist
