What Do The Blood Test Results Indicate?

I just got test results today: I am an obese female, 52 years old; what do these mean?HDL Cholesterol          37 Total Cholesterol          241 Triglycerides          455 Cholesterol/HDL      6.5 LDL Cholesterol, Calculated     130 mg/dL     see below Calculation invalid due to high Triglycerides.

Hello and welcome to HCM,
The interpretation of the blood report is as follows:
The level of total cholesterol and triglycerides is elevated.
Total cholesterol level should be below 200 mg% and total triglyceride level should be below 150 mg%.
HDL level is slightly reduced. Its level should be above 40 mg%.
Thus, with both cholesterol and triglyceride levels elevated, you need to consult your physician for medication to lower the levels of cholesterol and triglycerides.
Diet has also to be corrected to lower these levels.
The intake of lipids, fatty foods has to be reduced in diet.
The intake of fluids and fiber has to be increased.
