hi im glemar racho 33yrs.my problem is about my x-ray result...findings:there are calcific densities superimposed upon the lateral left knee joint.there is mild narrowing of the lateral left knee joint with marginal osteophytes. there are accessory bones at the popliteal area as well as anterior to the proximal tibia.the rest of the findings are unremarkable. REMARKS: CONSIDER ligament calcification at the lateral left knee joint space with associated mild generative change..
You have developed degenerative changes in the left knee joint. This is seen as calcification of lateral ligament and reduced joint space. The changes are mild and you may get relief by doing physiotherapy and taking medications. The accessory bones in popliteal fossa are small round extra bones formed in some people and have no serious clinical problems attached to it. The reduced joint space needs to be reviewed after few years. If pain in severe then a MRI knee is advised, this will tell any cartilage, ligamental, meniscal or capsule degenerations.
