What Do Swollen Lymph Nodes When Diagnosed With Lymphadenitis Tuberculosis Indicate?

Hi, I have been diagonised with lymphadenitis tuberculosis. I have swollen lymph nodes near my neck. But I don not have any other symptoms, like fever, weight loss, night sweats. I have my regular diet. So I am bit confused,as whether the diagonsis was done correctly. I am not doubting it, but it is getting hard fro me to believe it. As per my blood report, my hemoglobin level has gone down to 10, and ESR count has increased to 85. I have a small kid, so want to know if this is contagious. Also are there any other tests which can confirm this.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
hello pt ,
ur diagnosed as tb lymphadenitis by biopsy(ie sample take from swollen node in neck) and microscopy diagnosis 100% sure

so better have sputum examination and chest xray to rule out lung tb .and confirm from physcian.
if it positive it is highly contagious and need to start antituberculosis treatment
(note anti-tb medcine is for both ie only tb lymph adenitis and lung tb
)
