What Do Swelling And Stiffness In The Hands Indicate?

Hi, my hands swelled up and my left hand was stiff, had trouble closing it. I felt no pain, just had swollen hands & fingers. My palm of my hands were itching before this happened, and had been itching on and off since Saturday. Can you help me see what may be going on please? I m 51 yrs. old, female and am pretty healthy. Thanks.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

You can take cefadroxyl, serratiopeptidase and aceclofenac combination. Consult your physician for prescription.

Put hand in warm water bowl for 15 to 20 minutes thrice a day. If not relieved, then consult orthopedic surgeon.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Purva Patel
