What Do Sore Red Rashes On The Spine Indicate?

Hi I have red like circle marks down my spine..I had them few wks back..I asked chemist he said a fungal infection I treated for a WK..and one night when I had a bath they came back just two..I went to doctor he gave me lamisil cream iv been using twice daily for 10 days and they went.. But I had a bath there n again it s flared up..they like burns..kinda sore..

Hello. Thank you for writing to us.
I have noted your concern.

Your have not been treating the infection adequately. Just a week or 10 days of topical antifungal treatment won't cure the infection. If I was he treating doctor I would suggest Oral as well as topical antifungals for at least 4 weeks. You may take a tablet of terbinafine 250 mg once a day for 4 weeks. In addition I suggest you to apply a topical antifungal e.g terbinafine 1%cream, twice daily for 4 weeks. I also suggest you to take an oral antihistamine e.g Cetrizine 10mg tab once every evening for symptomatic relief from itching.
