What Do Small Spots In The Vagina Indicate?
In the past week, I ve had several small raw spots saw up on my vagina btw the lip and the wall...I ve put Vaseline on them bc they are raw and sore. They are no bigger than a pencil head and flat...no oozing and no bleeding. They are on top from the opposite end where I urinate so no problem there. I ve got a call into my OBGNY that I been seeing since I was 19 and now I m 54. What do you think?

White sore spots in and around vagina may indicate sexually transmitted infection especially genital herpes or vaginitis /dermatitis due to chemicals or microbes.
If I were your treating doctor,I would recommend,
-Visit to gynaecologist as it needs clinical examination and swab culture.This will tell about infecting organism and accordingly medicines will be giving.Also adviced blood glucose to rule out diabetes .
-Antiviral drugs like valacyclovir for herpes.
-Vaginal ointment like clotrimazole or oral antifungal for fungal infection.
-Antibiotics like ciproflixacin for bacterial infection.
Above course generally lasts for 7-10 days.
-Oral anti histaminics may be taken if the area is itchy.
-Keep the area clean by taking warm water bath and then dry.Avoid wearing tight underwear.Wear loose and cotton underwear.
-Avoid using any commercial soaps or creams at the site.
-Avoid doing sex till treatment is completed and one week after it.
