What Do Severe Headaches Along With Diarrhea Indicate?

Hi. I am not sure if I just had an extremely severe food poisoning episode, the flu, or possibly a seizure. I woke up on Sunday and every inch of my body was hurting. Like I had pulled every muscle in my body. I also has severe stomach cramping and loose liquid like stool. I had an extreme urge to vomit, although I did not. I had an extreme headache, which is still present and worse today. I couldn t even drink mild tea, or eat anything. Today I have managed to get small portion of food down but I still ache everywhere, am very dizzy, and I keep experiencing what I can only describe as flashes of electromagnetic frequencies in my brain. Throughout yesterday and this morning I am still having liquid stool. Also, I have been diagnosed with IBS, or so they think...and for almost two weeks now I have been having blood come out when I wipe my bum, every time. Even yesterday and today. Bright red, lower intestinal colored. My main question particularly pertains to the headache and muscle thing, and of course the emf flashes as I call them, which I have had for a very long time now...years at least.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Surely you are suffering from food poisoning as you have all the symptoms, nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea. Headaches, abdominal cramps, and weakness are a part of it. You are suffering from severe dehydration, take plenty of plain water, juice, and oral rehydration fluids (ORS), such as Electrol. ORS will slowing help your body regain its electrolyte balance and you will feel fine, have patience with yourself. Avoid any addiction and spicy fried food. Eat rice, chicken broth, oatmeal, bananas, and boiled veggies. Take Omeprazole or Omez and anti-diarrhea medicines (Loperamide or Lomotil) to get control.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr Nupur K
