General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Red streak can be seen in case of chronic inflammation condition. So it can be chronic pharyngitis like condition. Decongestant tablet like Levocetirizine once a day for five days can be prescribed for that.

If no improvement, then posterior pharynx examination and indirect laryngoscopy examination should be done. Consult an otorhinolaryngologist for the examination and discuss your case.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Parth Goswami
