What Do Red Spots Under The Armpit Indicate?

Hi I’m Ellen and I have noticed a couple of red dots under my left armpit. They are small and in a cluster. I don’t know what could of caused this because I haven’t used anything new in this area. I have searched for rashes and reactions but none of the pictures seem to match my problem. I need to know what this might be! The only thing that’s been different today was that it was extremely hot outside.

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hi,

Perhaps it is due to moisture from sweating and friction causing inflammation of the body folds. This can later increase to involve the whole of armpit with redness, itching and burning. I suggest you to use an antifungal and drying dusting powder, e.g., Clotrimazole 1% dusting powder, twice daily for a few days.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
