What Do Red Rashes On The Arms, Chest And Legs Indicate?

I have a few flat round red spots on my arm, chest, leg. They are not sore or itch. A couple looked like a pimple without a head then flatened out and stayed there. there is not flaking or any other sympton. Just flat round spots. About 9 in all total.

Hi Dear,

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of red rashes on the arms, chest and legs which seems to be due to allergic reaction, contact dermatitis, poor hygiene, improper hygiene, eczema and heat rash.

Need not to worry. I would suggest you to

- Apply cold compresses to rashes.

- Apply petroleum jelly and protect them from sun exposure.

- Avoid itching or pricking rashes.

- Take antihistamine like benadryl twice a day.

If condition does not get well then consult dermatologist for proper examination . Doctor may prescribe immunosuppressants along with corticosteroid ointment and antibiotics .

Hope your concern has been resolved.

Get Well Soon.

Best Wishes,
Dr. Harry Maheshwari
