What Do Red And Swollen Rash With Burning Sensation Indicate?
Hi, my friend has marks on her neck a little behind her ear that look almost like spider bites and are far enough apart to look like a vampire bite. The marks are raised with scabs in the middle and red swelling around the scabs. They are about the size of a dime. Has burning sensation. What could it be?

Hi.
As per your case history your friend is probably having insect bite dermatitis.
My treatment advice is -
1. Don't squeeze the lesions as it may worsen the condition.
2. Apply a mild antibiotic plus steroid cream like fusiderm-b cream twice daily on it.
3. Take an antihistamine medication like levocetrizine twice daily for 7-10 days.
4. Other treatment options are oral antibiotics, oral steroid taken only after consulting a dermatologist.
