What Do Rashes On The Right Arm Indicate?

I discoverd a rash on my right arm a week ago. The bumps are not watery, like Poison Ivy. It has spread to my inner thighs and behind my armpits. It is very itchy. So far it has not gone to my hands or face. Today, I took a Benadryl and the itchiness subsided but not the bumps. The bumps themselves are not in a line and so far, my husband and kids have not been affected. Any thoughts? My fear is Scabies. I love hot yoga.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

I understand your concern.

Rash on your right arm appearing one week ago is suggestive of a possible allergy reaction. As you love hot yoga, it could be due to any new chemicals you might have used at the last yoga appointment.

Continue taking Benadryl, apply hydrocortisone cream on the bumps locally. If no improvement, dermatologist to consult as might need prescription meds.

Wish fast recovery.
