What Do Rashes On The Face Indicate?

Symptoms:55 yer old male, started 3 days ago with blotches on face and now 1 large blotch or redness, Sever back pain, feels like being jabbed with a knife. Day 2 heavy cough, soar throat, trouble moving around,heavy cold sweats need to keep changing clothing and sheets,Fever 102.2, using heating pad on back. It is day 3 and throat isn t as soar and not couching put is in bed flat on back. I am puzzled by the face blotch. Otherwise it sounds like possible flu.
