What Do My Blood Sugar Level Test Values Indicate ?

Doctor my age is 22Yrs .From last 1year iam taking infertility treatment . MY last period date is 29/01/2012. I do my praganency test on 5th of this month and it become positive.But the same day i check my blood glucose level it s 293mg/dl.fast blood sugar was 149mg/dl. This is due to preganency or it s dibatice. If i have dibatice . Pls refere what type is it, and what are the things i have to include in my dite. Pls advice me iam afride.

Hi first heartier congratulations for your upcoming NEWBORN.
Its very common during pregnancy there is high level of blood glucose which gives effect as that as of diabetes.It should be controlled and it is easily controlled by easily available medicines.There is NO nothing serious abt this and need to be afraid BUT it is higly RECOMMENDED to be under medical suprvision to have a assess with HIGH GLUCOSE LEVELS...................you can avoid foods in high starch level/increse diet in high roughage /do meditation/yoga some light exercises/walk
