What Do Mammogram Results That Show Duct Carcinoma Cells In Breast Mean?

Hi: Thanks for your help in advance. Great web site and very informative. Could someone please translate the information below from the mammogram, USG and FNAC tests? Both USG and FNAC are done on the same day and Mammogram is done about a week before the USG and FNAC tests. Thanks again...

Mammogram Results:
Impression:
1) Left breast axillary region mass lesion
2) Right breast outer half (on CC view) - ? nodule, ? stromal density
3) Advised USG breast
4) BIRADS Category 0

USG Report:
Impression:
1) Right breast simple cysts
2) Left breast solid lobulated lesion - ? Fibroadenoma

FNAC Report:
Specimen: US guided FNAC - left breast

Microscopic examination: Smears are cellular and shows loosely cohesive and singly scattered tumor cells having enlarged,
moderately pleomorphic nuclei with prominent nucleoli. The cell shows high nuclear - cytoplasmic ratio. Frequent mitoses
including atypical mitosis are seen in the background.

Diagnosis: US guided FNAC, left breast lump - Duct carcinoma cells seen.

Hi.
Mammogram is X-ray picture of breast, which showed some mass.
This was confirmed by USG Rt. Side simple cyst means a bag of clear solution.
On left side solid lesion was reffered as fibroadenome, ? benign tumour , which was confirmed by taking cells from the tumour, which proved to be malignant.
You need a good surgeon to deal with this.
Thanks.

Hello
Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum.
So far reports are very clear I will try to explain.
On the right side of ( in ) there is a cyst ( NO CANCER ) , SIMPLE TUMOR.
On the left side there is FIBROADENOMA ( a type of tumor or lump or mass )
When FNAC done ( simply a piece of mass taken ) , this show duct cell carcinoma .
So according to this report there is a carcinoma or cancer in the left of breast .
So consult an oncologist and get his opinion and treatment .
Good luck.
Dr. HET
