I had a sever ear infection in oct left side. A wick was placed for med. Took oral antibiotic Mid Nov I found one large nodule and one small behind ear and edge of neck. Had ultrasound a third was found. I had taken my second antibiotic. Beginning of Dec MRI. Said all ok Third round antibiotic. Nodules reduce in size. I still have swollen gland under jaw bone and feel tightness in sides of neck. And occasional pain from the left side towards throat. Sharp sudden pains. Still worried...No explanations. Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

It seems like swollen lymph nodes which is quite common after a bout of ear infection. No need to worry as it will subside once infection controlled. Continue antibiotics as advised by your doc.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
