What Do Itchy Red Rashes On The Knees And Shins Indicate?

Three days ago, I developed a red, raised itchy rash on both my knees going down the outside of my shins. Used Benadryl cream and tablets. Fades slightly then returns. Strange it being in same area on both knees, a little worse on left. No other symptoms. Thoughts?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

It is an allergic rash many s times due to gluten allergy( dermatitis herpiformis ).
Need a avoidance of gluten containing food and a full course of oral/local anti-histaminic to break the allergic cycle.
Consult a dermatologist or gastroenterologist( for gluten allergy).

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
