I have bumps on my upper arms. The dermatologist diagnosed Folliculitis, and prescribed antibiotic ointment, and a steroidal cream for the itching. It controlled the itching a lot, but the bumps did not heal. I did bleach baths, which did not seem to help. I threw out my Venus shaver, and bought disposable shavers, as I may have Folliculitis in my groin area. The bumps on my upper arms lasted a few weeks, red and itchy. On their own, they disappeared, but left scars for a week or two. I got the bumps back in a wk. or ten days. It started again in the same area. The dermatologist did a biopsy and says it is bug bites or an eruption from a medication I am taking. I am taking thyroid meds, Synthroid and generic Cytomel, Estrogen cream, three days wkly, and Acyclovir, for vag. herpes, which flare frequently, and a slew of vitamins.
