Hi,

Hives (Urticaria) usually lasts not more than 24 hours. The rash usually disappears after 24 hours and may recur again.
The main management of hives is to find the cause and to avoid the causative factor. Along with this, you must take some antihistamine tablets.
As you are having this complaint for a year, you could be having chronic urticaria. So, I recommend you to consult your Dermatologist for further management.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,

Dr. Siva Subramanian,
