What Do Extreme Mood Swings With Delayed Periods Indicate?

I have very severe mood swings especially on the days before periods. Usually the periods gap is 32-33 days. Now it s more than 36 days and periods hasn t started yet. I am not into any physical relationship till now. What could be the reason for delayed periods? Should I take any medication?
